Demir is a Visual Communication Designer who is productive and specialized  in Illustration and Exhibition Design.

Cigdem Demir is an award winning Turkish visual communication designer.
With her “Superior Success Awarded” Graduation from  Graphic Design Department, Fine Arts Faculty of Hacettepe University in 1998, she continued both academic career and her graphic design career at various advertising agancies in Turkey and Italy.

Demir finished Master of Arts in 2001 and Phd in 2006 in Graphic Design Department,  Social Sciences Institute, Hacettepe University, Fine Arts Faculty Graphic Design Department.

Studied in Multimedia Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Brera Unversity in Italy in 2001-2002 (8 months) with the “Schoolarship of Italian Government”.

• Assoc. Professor Cigdem Demir works as the Head of the Department of Visual Communication Design (VCD) - Faculty of Fine Arts – Gazi University.
• And Head of the Master programme of Design Cultures in Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts.

She is giving lectures for Undergraduate: Graduation Project, ProjectIII/IV , Packaging Design, Portfolio Design, Vectorel illustration, Dijital Illustration, Illustration, Typography II, Portfolio, Design History. And for M.A & PHD programmes:  Analysis of Advertising, Advertising & Communication, Title Sequence Design & Analysis .

Has 6 awards in Graphic Design, has 10 personal exhibitions, participated in 51 national and international exhibitions. She  has organized the International Fusion Calendar Design Exhibitions in the years of 2008 and 2011, in Turkey with FUMIHIKO ENOKIDO.

               Demir is a fan of hispanic culture and speaks English, Italian, Spanish.
